Almost Easter break and I had my Micro exam this week... Did I mention I hate my Micro teacher? He loves to tell stories and he barely teaches. Not that I don't like hearing stories but not in class, especially when it does not related to what we are learning in class. Right now,I am failing in his class and I regret not studying on my free time. I have trouble understanding the words in Economic... *sigh* If I fail, I will feel like a failure! Anyways, I gotta stay positive... It's not the end of the world and I am doing well in my other courses so far. Just as long I don't slack off anymore then it's all good.

Anyway, I took pictures of my outfit last week. I tried wearing this combo... Not something that I wear usually but it was comfty. I tried adding the red bracelet because I found the outfit too dull, didn't turn out so well.

Been awhile I haven't post anything... Well I don't have much going on in my life right now except studying and going out from times to times. I didn't like blogging these past weeks because I was either too busy or just plain lazy.

The weather has been warming up lately and I am really happy that spring has officially started since March 20th. It still feels like winter outside because nothing is blooming yet.

I took a walk outside with my little sister to snap some pictures, it came out looking great. Since it's spring now, I am trying to put more colors into my outfits and this one was successful!

Surviving in the real world

Over the past two weeks, I saw some of my friends who are already applying for University. It seems like just yesterday that we were in our first year of Cegep...Well it was not that long ago. How much has changed since then... I'm still thinking if I should go to University next Winter or not. I really would like to take a semester off.

I have changed a lot these past few years and for the better. I'm still the same little girl back in High school but a lot more mature. My style has changed a lot from semester one to now and I am a lot bolder to try a new hairstyle. Back in Elementary through High school, I refused to get a new haircut anywhere because I was afraid it will turn out bad. I have a phobia about asian people cutting my hair... Maybe I should give those barbers in Chinatown one more chance? Maybe this summer, I'll think about it.

Growing up is... exciting yet scary. You get to choose what you want to do with your life. When we were teens, we wanted to be independent but once we got it, we become confused.

What can we do to survive in this world?

Get out of your comfort zone. It's the only advice I can give now. I realized that once you get out of the things you used to do, used to see and used to hear. You get a clear idea of what you want in life. I personally love the part where I discover... There's just so much to see in this world!

This is my final post of Fresh start in 2009.

I guess I will keep these three goals in mind. Anyways... I will start the rest of my 2009 single. Yes we broke up after 1 year and 25 days. It was not meant to be.

Was I hurt? Of course, I just need time to readjust to the single life again. I cope with this breakup pretty well... Just burned a few memories that we took together. Dumping this and that. Anyone who recently broke up with their love one should get rid of everything that remind you of them. It's the only way to move on... Go spend time with your friends. It's not the end of the world.

I realized I like to get out of my comfort zone and try new style. Something in me tells me to be a little more bold than usual. Poka dots clothes are things I usually don't wear and it's eye catching!

Yes I'm suppose to post this up a while ago... Got lazy!

It's February today and I still didn't post any New Year resolutions. I believe in what Will Smith said on TV while I was in Vancouver, if you want to change something start now and not wait till the New Year to change whatever you have to change. I talked with my brother (Non relative one) about what I should change. Well I'll definitely to be happier this year...

1. Be happier.

What do I mean by that? For years, I've been thinking so negatives about everything especially on education, relationship and myself. I want to be able to be more positive about my life. I may not have everything that I want or expect myself to be someone or expect someone to be a certain way because hey... We are not perfect.

2. Not get angry at people or myself.

I know I know... People who personally know me will tell me that I have anger issues. When you live in my family, you will know where I got it from. Personally, I find myself irrational at time. I will be more willing to forgive and not get angry on things that I can't control myself. Why not laugh more instead of being angry all the time? That sounds like a sweet deal.

3. Gain more knowledge by being open mindBy being open mind (To a certain degree), I guess I learn more things rather than refusing to learn anything other than what I am more comfortable in. It's all about challenging myself to new things and be able to grow from that experience. Why not take courses outside of school? Read books that is out of my comfort zone? Actually put more effort in school?

Fresh start in 2009 part I

On December 13th 2008, I left Montreal to Hong Kong, Macau, Guangzhou,Xiamen and Vancouver for three weeks. I came back on January 2nd 2009 with lots of wonderful memories of my trip... And a brand new style.

Let's just say I incoporated Asian clothing and a brand new haircut into my wardrobe. Hopefully, I will be able to mix and match successfully.

Many of the places hold a charm of their own, Hong Kong is a very modern city, the malls are like heavens. There was so much to buy but my luggage wouldn't permit me to bring them all home. Therefore, I have to make sacrifice... I am saving my money at the same time too! Macau is a very entertaining place, many colourful buildings and many casinos. Good thing I am not a gambler... XD Guangzhou is a pretty busy city and the shoppings are amazing. Xiamen is a nice place to shop but not a good place to eat. There is a lot factories and such... As we can see, the city is still developping and there was a lot of motorcycles driving around. Not a good place to walk around... It could get dangerous! Nonethless, it's a wonderful sight. Vancouver... A very relaxing city. I study English there for a month and a half and not much has changed since then. Maybe a little... However, my old school has changed location and I didn't have time to ride the subway. Oh yeah... Can't forget Seattle. I did a little trip there and I practically just shop there. It was on New Year's day. Who knew that I will spend my first day of 2009 shopping... Haha.

To end this, I should put some pictures up. Since it's pretty late right now, I will post them up tomorrow morning.

One more thing before hitting the sack, I am sensing many changes coming in 2009. Good or bad, let's just hope for the best and remember that some things are in our hands.

P.S: I am looking forward to a new trip this summer. Will keep it a surprise for the time being! ;-)

If you are brave enought to eat without seeing anything, then this is the perfect place for you! Well... If you are open enought. Some people told me they wouldn't dare go to a restaurant where they can't see anything when they eat. It is completly safe. They ask you first if you have any allergies.

I had a great experience and the food is pretty good! Especially the dessert. x)

Last two weeks of school

Two weeks before the semester is done, I'm trying to finish it by having good grades. So far, I've been doing pretty good in some courses and some course, not bad,I'm passing haha...

Now I have the motivation to study. Before, not really. I was kinda depressed last month which badly affected my grades. I'm catching up like usual.

My lips are getting dry these days... Need a good lipbalm with a good sunprotection screen.

My camera is a Canon SD770IS. It's not bad at all... Though I'm the type who don't ask much for a camera. Just one that take nice pictures and small enought for me to carry around everyday.

I went to Victoriaville with my boyfriend and his family today. It was where his parents grew up when they were younger. We went to see his mother's side of the family, it was quite weird to see my boyfriend mother's parents very outgoing and fun lol...

Around lunch time, we went to a restaurant (Forgot what it calls... Hey, I was sooo hungry when we got there. Empty stomach = FOOD. This is how my mind thinks). I really like how they put the cheese factory and restaurant all in the same building. I should have brought a camera with me to take pictures. The cheese there are freshly made and the restaurant serve them directly from the factory. After lunch, I went to buy a few things in a little cheese store. I bought... Pancake ready made powder, caramel jam and a pack of salty cheese freshly made today. I'll promise to take pictures of it and post them up tomorrow.

After lunch, we went shopping at a mall simlair to Mail Champlain and I went to CPC (C pas cher). The clothes there are pretty nice and the price is good. I was hoping to see if they sell any nice warm sweaters. No luck so far. I might go back with my boyfriend's family next year and check to see if they have any more selections.

After our little shopping, we went back to my boyfriend mother's family side to eat dessert. It was a homemade chocolate cake made by his grandma, I took two big slices and a half of cake... It was so good! While GuiGui's mom was talking with her parents about the family origin and all. GuiGui and I played card with his grandma. It was pretty fun! His grandma was really into the game... xD

I came back home at 6:30 pm and I was ready to hit the book... I mean euh... Now I am ready to hit the books!

Stop spending and start saving!

These past few days, I've been spending quite a lot of money on clothes and going out. Most of my money is spend on FOOD!! God... Gotta stop or else I'm going to have 0$ for China.

After Sunday, I'm going to stop spending money on food. Clothes are not much of a problem, I am known as a very complicated shopper.

Oh yeah... I found a good product to ease my skin dryness and it is:

You can find it at Wal-Mart for 5$. You can use it to ease mousquito bite, for you blemish, for your bruise, mix in sun cream with to have a nice tan,etc. Plus, it doesn't make your skin greasy! Love the product. My boyfriend's mom suggested me this product when my skin was hella dry last summer and it actually works.

A month to go before winter break

My boyfriend and I are back together. I guess the reason is because we don't spend a lot of time together lately. Last Saturday, he took an afternoon off to spend time with me! ^.^ Yes!! Next Sunday, I'm going to Victoriaville with his family. I want to buy a new camera this week so I can take pictures there. I'm going to check out BestBuy and FutureShop to see.

My dad does not respect the things he gave me. Just because he gave me the camera does not mean he can take it without asking me. When I get my own camera with my own money, I have the damn right to yell at him and make him feel ashamed. Grrr... Lesson 1: Do not share anything with dad because he will take full advantage of it.

Lately, I've been hearing about the Tektonik dance in school. This type of dance is a mix of different dance style such as disco,hip hip and more. It first originates in France and it's gaining ground here in Montreal.

Let's just say I am not fond of this dance. Music is good but not the dance. After watching them dance a few more times... I think it's not "so" bad. I can tolerated it but not in EVERY clubs... Please!

So this particular dance is becoming popular, I hope the Tektonik dancers that are emerging in Montreal won't think they are the shits and think they are better than others. Keep in mind fellow stars that in a few years (Yes dear think ahead), when your 15 minutes of fame is over, you will be considered a loser if you treat people very badly. Trust me, don't let this little fame get in your head. You may be somebody today but tomorrow, you may be a nobody.

Anyways, I am happy to be part of this little historic moment of the Tektonik dance growing in Canada. One thing for sure, I will not take any parts in this. It's just not my style at all. Oh yeah... Followers of this dance, make sure you know how to dance to this or else you will look ridiculous... Seriously.

I haven't post here for awhile... Exams here and there. Especially this week, I have three exams. I did one today in English, two more to go.

A new month means many changes especially this November, we gain one hour of sleep (wooohooo!), days are shorter and... Tomorrow is the US election! Byebye Bush, hello new president! Hopefully, someone who will help the economy.

I didn't get the chance to post pictures of my day with my boyfriend from two weeks ago. We went to Chinatown to look for his costume for Halloween, he wanted to dress as a monk. We found the white shirt but there was no white pants sold anywhere. He decided to dress as a teacher. The day was kinda crappy... It was friken raining outside and it was so damn cold. This is what I hate in Autumn... Rain + Cold = Bitchy Christina. This doesn't happen often or else, I will be known as the bitchy girl who bitch around. I'm glad GuiGui doesn't mind... He loves the rain! I also bought a costume for myself which was unexpected, I wasn't planning to buy a costume. It is a red and blue kimono. Very pretty but expensive. Bought it for 75$ arg... I'll try to wear it as often as possible, meaning I will go to the Japanese festival next August with GuiGui.

Been busy lately

I've been busy...

--> Study for my exams that are coming this week and next week.
--> Working more than the minimum hours suggested because I can't take Sunday off till next week.
--> Shopping for boots available in the stores.
--> Shopping for winter sweaters and pants(other than jeans).
--> Need a new camera to take pictures (Dad mistreat the one he gave me because it's not his anymore... -.-")

Oh yeah... Thinking how much money to bring for my trip to China. Baah... Only China unfortunatly due to the lack of available flight after the 5th and 24th of January. I'm still debating about the amount of money I will bring with me. I like the clothes in Morocco though sometimes they appear too trendy to my liking. BUT... If the clothes are anywhere close to Japan and Korea clothes. Then... Hell yeah gotta buy them! Especially accessories... Like bags and earrings!! =D I hope to find good quality clothes at a very good price. Not to forget... Have to enjoy the food there! =D Can't miss that!

Anyways, I'll think about that later. Gotta go study psychology...

You are not saving money when...

You buy something at a cheap price(i.e brown leggings 10$) that goes with practically nothing in your wardrobe. To be able to wear the friken leggings, you have to buy shirts to match with it (Not smart). Why not just buy something that goes with most of what you have in your wardrobe rather than buying something that do not match with anything in your wardrobe. Power shopping = BAD. You get limited time to shop therefore, you are bound to make mistakes on your purchase. I'll be keeping the leggings in case I find something but I have to try not to make stupid mistake like this again -.-". I hate wasting money on things that are not useful to me. The person that I shop with give great advices but I have to make the final decision. Don't need persuation because 1. It's my money 2. I have something better to do with my money than buying clothes that barely match with what I have 3. We don't have the same level of spending habit.

One advice that can be accepted or not: leggings are not pants people... Please wear them with a long t-shirt that cover your ass and your camel toe. -.-" Celebrities also make fashion mistakes... Sometimes, they wear the ugliest thing in the world, it does not make them acceptable to wear it.

By the way, purple shirt and brown leggings are a HORRIBLE match. Oh the horror of trying both on...

Lately, I've been receiving flattery comments from people. It's always nice to receive some good comments from people around me. Especially from Kiwii, Tarynn, Myriam and my English teacher.

Here are the following that I remember:

My comment: Maybe I mature a lot after summer. I criticise less... You see.. I got this trait from my parents. They are the kinds of people who seek perfection from others, they like to talk about other people mistakes than their own. I am in no way more perfect than anybody else, so I try to watch my tongue and be more chill about it. About my clothing style.. Wow! I have a unique style... Well I try to match clothing that is more my liking. I guess I have my own of dressing way of dressing myself. I am open! =.=" Just not in everything... Ah well.

It's always nice to receive some compliments especially at the way I dress. I love clothes especially going through my closet to see what kind of mix & match I can make with the things I have. It's all about having fun with my clothes. My wardrobe is growing every week or two with new pieces. Hopefully, I will try to continue to have fun with my wardrobe this winter. I am getting pretty good at finding outfits in spring, summer and fall time. Oh yeah... I am happy to hear an English teacher commenting on my writting. I love to express myself in writting.

Happy election day

I went voting around 9 pm. Hopefully, I did my job as a citizen... Anyways, I am really disappointed at the huge number of young adults that are not going to vote in any election, saying that they are all corrupted. So... I say, we shall have a dictatorship in the future and nobody need to vote again. Next thing we know, all those people who didn't bother to vote are going to whine about wanting to have a democracy again. If Obama is the new hope for the US politic, then maybe someday we will have a good candidate like him. Then again, I doubt all the people who claim politic is corrupted will actually pay attention to it and still say there's no hope in this country.

Throughout the day, I spend time with Kiwii and GuiGui. I also went shopping with Kiwii and she made me try all kind of style, I like the clothes so far but... Going shopping only with her from now on... Eum... I would like to have my own shopping time by myself and my friends too, not just one shopping partner. You know... I think it's better because I can discover my own personal style with different people with me.

I hate psychology... I hate psychology! I feel like it's useless to take psychology and I am really not interested. Teacher may be passionable at what he teaches but his notes are shitty. Early Thanksgiving dinner

Tarynn invited me to her house for an early thanksgiving dinner with four of her friends. The food was good especially the mash patotoes... I am a BIG fan of mash potatoes!! Hers are the best ones so far!! I had a good time there but nothing in common with my friend's friends.

Don't need a wardrobe change... Change your hairstyle

Another way to make the wardrobe more interesting is to change the hairstyle often... Well not 4 to 5 times a year, more like maybe twice a year. My first semester in college, I tried the curly hairstyle. At the end of the second semester, I tried a shorter hairstyle than what I'm used to... At the third semester, I tried bangs. My wardrobe didn't change which save me a lot of money. Whenever I get a new hairstyle, I get anxious at how it will look with my current clothes. Well it turns out great in the end! Definitely going to concentrate on my hairstyle from now on.

Kiwii's right, hairstyle makes you a different person.

I am loving my bangs but it's so hard to manage it sometimes and I need to go to the salon often to keep it like that. Well... If I want to keep it for the rest of the semester or I can always cut it by myself or ask a friend. Hehe...

Some of the pictures were taken in 2005-2006... Now we are in 2008 going on 2009. How was I back then? Really unconfident... Just look at those postures! Me slouching on most of the pictures... I am definitely more confident than a few years ago, thank god those days are long gone. =)

Pictures are a good way to remember how we used to look like. Good thing people took pictures of me. Haha..It reminds me... I need to bring my camera along to make more memories.

Positive work atmosphere

Today at work, it was overall good. I love working with Fred, Christiane and... Bobby (*Snif*), they make the work atmosphere a whole lot more enjoyable. Though, I didn't sleep well these past few days. I made a few mistakes but that is okay... I have to get a fix time to wake up every morning to avoid being tired and... Not miss any more morning classes. I am the worst when it comes to waking up at 6 am or 7 am. Sure I manage to get in time at work around 7 am and 8 am. Obviously, it is 10 min of walk away from my house and I don't need to bring much with me.

I noticed a few weeks ago... There's a lot of drama going on at work. Especially with some of my collegues, they are having a hard time with their life. Seriously, I think no matter what the circonstance is, we should remain positive... It's hard but we have to try. That is what I'm trying to do now, think positively. There's always a way out in any situation.

After work, I took a short 1 hour nap and at 6:10 pm, I took the bus to go to GuiGui house to eat dinner with his family. I am happy that his mom invited me to dinner... Never really expected that. =O I am happy to be liked by my boyfriend's mom... I tried my best to be presentable.

Check the mail when I got back to school today, I received my chapters 50$ gift card from airmiles!! Can I say hourray?!! Woohooo!! Now I can go buy books and CDs online for free!! I got the airmiles points from my dad, since he never uses it. He lets me use it for educational purpose.

I read fashion forums sometimes to find something new... Well, I found a fashion site where real people wear fashionable clothes and they show them off in this website. I really love how some people there assemble their clothes and it shows us that even normal people can look good not just models.

Many members there inspired me to get out of my box and explore with my clothes more. I feel like going on a shopping spree on Mount-Royal streets, websites like Amazon... Ebay or somewhere to find unique clothes. Even thrift stores for god sake!! I'm sick and tired of going to mainstream stores and find the same trendy stuff. People here often opted for the casual look, jeans with t-shirt. It's good but if you love clothes, you will get sick of wearing the same darn thing over and over again!! That's why I want to diversify my closet. At the same time, I don't want to spend too much on fashionable things... Taste changes over time. That's why I buy stuffs that are not too trendy, more toward classic. I prefer to concentrate on accessories... But those people make me want to go all out!! Hehe... Okay Christina... Calm down. The clothes that you have are fine...

I check out the website that a friend introduced me. Her brother's girlfriend own the site and she is selling clothes from Korea and Japan... You know, clothes from site like Zipia. Not sure if the quality is good but I'll be purchasing a few items through her and I can return it if I judge the quality too poor or it doesn't fit me right. I'm looking for winter clothes, mostly sweaters and a pair of warm boots! I am very difficult with boots... My first and probably last pair of boots that I absolutely love is the black platform boots that I got a few years ago. It died on me last January when I came back from work. The ziper on the left foot broke. Ah well... Kiwii was suppose to buy me winter boots but I told her to buy me sweater instead because it's easier and less expensive. Boots are hard to find especially with a crappy weather in Canada. Better have one pairs that are good for walking around with and it matches with whatever I wear.

I made a small list at what I want to buy from the website, though I won't be able to buy them all because... I don't have that much money to spend:

Yes. They all look the same in term of style... "Ahem" You see... I don't know which one I like the most. I just love the style and it's so similair to mine that I wore on my Mont Saint-Bruno trip and it's just so comfty to wear it around. Not to mention I can match with practically everything in my wardrobe.

Aaaarg... Oily face

Throughout the day, my skin gets pretty oily.

To solve this oil problem, I get a sheet of oil blotter sheet and press it on my face. After a sheet or two, my face feels refresh again! It's easy to use and doesn't take much time. Just put a sheet on one part of your face and press it firmly. When you see the sheet turns clear, that means it successfully absorb the extra oil. It's quite expensive for 50 sheets (~10$) but there are cheaper methods and other brands that sell them like Neutrogena, Proactiv, shiseido, Lise Watier (Forgot how to spell the last name) and many other brands.

My classes start at 2:00 pm so I have time to prepare and take a picture of my outfit today. I decided to wear shorts because it was quite warm in the afternoon. People were looking at me funny because I was the only one wearing shorts in my classes. The weather wasn't that bad and I had a jacket with me so I was okay.

Took a picture of myself with my earrings. Didn't bother to fix my hair that much.

Mont Saint-Bruno trip

I went trail hiking with my gym class today at Mont Saint-Bruno and I had fun. We were six people in our group. I also brought along my camera to capture the scenary around me, it was beautiful. I wanted to take pictures of all my group members but some don't want me to take pictures of them. I took more pictures of Myriam! Love that girl and we have so much in common! I finally found someone who is as passionate as me in traveling. She tells me to go to Vancouver with her next summer for two months to work there... Man that offer looks so good!! And I kinda promise my dear Swiss friend that I'll visit him in London next summer and I want to keep my job at Timmy. Or... I'll probably not travel anywhere next year because I want to save my money... When it comes to traveling, I get confused A LOT. Well, I have to concentrate on my studies before traveling. Remember Christina study = lots of money to travel in the future!

My love for unique bags

I love unique bags! When I was in Morocco, I purchased two bags from the souk market and one bag from a store called Bigdil.

Bags are not only useful to carry things like a purse, keys, cellphone,etc. They are also great accessories to make a simple outfit pop! That is why I try to purchase bags that has an interesting design. Whenever I have a boring outfit on that day, I just carry one of them and they complete my outfit. I bring them whenever I go out or when I don't need to bring heavy books in school on a certain day.

This is my first ever blog... When I mean first ever, it means that I've never write a blog about my life before except money.... BUT! Money is another thing which I will not mention to often here since it's about my little progress in life.

First of all, I like to thank Angie for indirectly introduce me to this website. Initially, she just wants people to read about her life and see her load of pictures lol... I wonder if there's a limit in posting how many pictures per blog. Haha

Anyhow, I choose this blog to post because it looks perfect for me. I was not satisfied with Xanga and other websites similair to that. I guess I wasn't into it back then until now. My goal is to post as much diverse as possible in this blog because I think life is not just about luxury, clothes, hot boys,etc. It will be hard since my everyday life is repeatitive like everybody else living a normal life. However, I will try my best not be too repetitive. The reason why I set this *weird* goal is to make me get out of my little box and explore.

What you guys will mostly see in my blog is:

My search for a style that best represent me: I love clothes... ;-) ! I would like to post pictures of clothes that I've successfully mix and match. I had some outfits made out awhile ago but I never had the chance to take pictures of it. What I can say about my style; brand names are not really part of my style thus you will never see me wearing a t-shirt with Guess, Bebe or whatever. It's just not my style nor represent anyone style in particular. Why would I want to advertise their clothes anyways? I do own a few brand name things but I made sure the name is subtle enought. The clothes itself must have something that attract me especially buying at that price. I usually shop at random places that sell clothes in good quality and can easily mix and match with. I love accessories! I own many necklaces, earrings and scarves although I don't wear them to school very much because it is pretty time consuming to mix and match. If I had the time, you'll see me rocking some. My other loves are shoes and I have a habit now to look at other people shoes. If you ever come across me, don't be offended! I look at shoes if they are nice or not, I don't judge... I'm just looking *blush and smile*. Overall, I can't describe my style and I can't say that I am original. I'm just trying to find a look that satisfied me overall and not depend on trend to create a look for me.

My travelings: Traveling is my passion. I love it so much and I want to go everywhere... If only I have all the money in the world and if only the world is more easily accessible. I want to learn different cultures and get inspired... To develop my style, to broaden my view on the world, to grow... To learn about other cultures... *Daydreaming* Aaaaah... @.@ I went to Morocco last July and it was so wonderful. I'll share with you guys some pictures I took there later on.

My discoveries in my city: I like to share places that I've found interesting to share to you all. =)
